What a great haul Cindy! I absolutely love my Lindstrom shears and that macrame board is great too. I find that I use it all the time, not just for macrame either! Can’t wait to see what you make with all your cool stuff!
I do too Kelsy! It always pays to get good quality tools whenever possible. The Lindstrom shears cut through metal like butter! I already have a tutorial figured out for the macrame board so you’ll get to see the intro for that soon. Getting new supplies and tools can really get the creative juices flowing! (On a side note, are you guys getting in anymore of those Totem stamps I showed in the video? I see they are now sold out.)
Cindy, would love to see what you come up with for the bone hairsticks. Great stash of goodies. The necklace measurer looks like a great item, too.
I have been thinking about the hair sticks and what to do with them. Maybe something for spring? Bet those Cymbidium Orchids we did would look great on those sticks. Would just need to put some thought into how to wire them on.
I’ll do a demo on the necklace measure tool sometime. It is pretty handy when trying to figure out how a necklace will fit.

I would love to see a tutorial with a project using micro-macrame techniques :). I do regular macrame using hemp, but I’ve been curious about the micro type ever since I bought a bracelet in Australia that uses it. The bracelet is brown cording with jade type fetish animals on it. Very cute. I’d love to see what you’ll come up with for your tutorial. Your design ideas are so fresh and charming!
Thanks Karen! I will be doing a macrame bracelet tutorial next. I’ll be started with a simple design with some very cool beads… but I think doing some more intricate micro-macrame projects in the future would be very fun!

I will Dixie Ann! (Both have fun with my treasures, and come up with some micro-macrame projects. Already have a simple project in the works, but plan to have even more in the future. It pairs so nicely with polymer clay!)
I’ve been looking at micro macrame for a while now, just haven’t got into it and then u say you are going to do a tute, how cool is that! I have one question/request, if I may. Can u tell me how many colours you’ll be using and what type of cord? This is so that I can order some and be ready, as I may have to order from the states.

Hi Sandra, for this project I will be teach just simple macrame (nothing too micro) but do plan to do some micro-macrame projects in the future. I am just using 1mm waxed linen cord in black, but you could use any 1mm or smaller cord that you like. I will also be using a a toggle clasp and some 6/0 seed beads, in addition to some gold polymer clay, chalk pastels, a rubber stamp, the mini-macrame board (optional) and some Renaissance Wax. It is a great project that looks great on both men and women (depending on the style of clasp you use.) I hope that gives you enough info without giving the project away. :)
