I am a girl that got annoyed when my doctor called me middle aged and am still wondering exactly what I’m going to be when I grow up.
I wear pirate shoes and a polymer clay beaded lanyard when I go to yoga at the YMCA. I have Jack Johnson, Prince, Dianna Krall, and the Black Eyed Peas on my iPod. I get a lump in my throat when I see a great piece of art or hear powerful music.
I am a good girl. My husband describes me as a “…square with slightly rounded corners.” We’ve been married for over 26 years now and I would marry him all over again.
I have two beautiful, unique and independent children who I am absolutely nuts about.
Somewhere along the way I figured out that I’m much better at being myself than trying to be someone else. And I try really hard to make sure my kids are true to who they are too.
I can do just about anything AND have done just about every type of job out there… but am very grateful that my life eventually brought me back to art… what I should have been doing all along.
For over fifteen years now, I have been working with… and have taught many different mediums including acrylic painting, children’s art murals, painted glass, glass tile mosaics, punched tin, making handmade paper, scrapbooking, beaded jewelry… and I am absolutely crazy about polymer clay.
I am a no B.S. kind of gal and will tell it like it is. I like to simplify and break things down into easy-to-understand and follow, bite size pieces. I think that is one of the main reasons why my students like me so much.
I now think there are officially too many I’s and me’s on this page and solemnly promise to make the rest of your visit, all about YOU and YOUR creative journey!
