Polymer Clay Color Recipes | Stargazer Lily Palette (Premo)

Stargazer Lily Polymer Clay Color Palette 1A: Stargazer
2A:
Raspberry
3A: Citrus
4A: Lime Wedge

When my daughter Willow was born, my sister brought me a big bunch of Stargazer Lilies. Their incredible beauty and their amazing scent filled the room for the first few weeks with our new baby. Ever since then, they have been one of my favorite flowers.

Today’s color palette photo, is of a Stargazer Lily bloom from last year. We have some these beautiful flowers planted in a tub out on our back sun deck. The following individual recipes will be added to the Polymer Clay Members Library during the month of May-2010 in Vol-024 [A-Series]:

  • Stargazer (Recipe 024-1A)
  • Raspberry (Recipe 024-2A)
  • Citrus (Recipe 024-3A)
  • Lime Wedge (Recipe 024-4A)

Stargazer is the bright Hot Pink of the petals of the Lily. Raspberry is the dark Purple-y Red of the spots. Citrus is the lively Orange of the pollen coated stamens and Lime Wedge is the fresh Lime Green rays at the base of the blossom.

Love this idea about the recipe cards. Can’t wait to receive all of them. I am also learning so much from your videos and your course!!!! Hugz Cindy. ~Pamela-C

I really like the picture format with the palette samples because it can inspire you to create using that particular palette of colors.  Sometimes you have the color cards in front of you and it takes awhile to decide how you will incorporate them into your piece whether it be jewelry or something else. Thanks so much and looking forward to new recipes…keep them coming! ~Lupe-M

Another lovely palette — THANK YOU, Cindy! (And Doug, of course.) These colors are FAB!

(For those thinking about organizing your color recipes in your computer, don’t forget to save the new palette picture at the top of this page! Right-click on it, save picture as then use the default name, or you can add or change as much info as you like — Vol#, color names, etc.)

Another beautiful palette, Cindy. “Stargazer” is a name my daughter uses in her computer world and these colors are as beautiful as she is. So this is more meaningful for me, can’t wait to mix those colors.

  3. Maureen, 26 April, 2010

Reminds me of summer sherbets! Delish! Love these colors. And thanks Phaedrakat, for that tip…never thought of doing that!

Stargazer Lillies are my favorite flower too.
Silverleaf- Excellent idea. Thanks for the tip on copying the picture. For mac users, like me, you can highlight the picture and copy.

I am in PC heaven this week. I am taking time off work because my mother is visiting from New York. Although I live in Des Moines, Iowa, I grew up on Long Island. My Mom is a 88 years old, travels alone and a great guest.

I love those bright vibrant colours! Great palette Cindy, and beautiful photo. :)

  8. Maria, 26 April, 2010

Very excited about these beautiful colors, Cindy! I am particularly curious about the recipe for the raspberry color as I have had a difficult time mixing red Premo colors – they seem to come out either too orangey or brown for me when I am aiming at a rich burgundy. There was this one dress I was trying to match the color of and after multiple attempts I just gave up! Technically speaking, Premo’s palette of colors should be able to produce any color you want, right? Has anyone besides me had this problem?

I had to leave my Stargazer lily bulbs at the house because I didn’t have time to dig and move everything I wanted before the ground froze. What beautiful colors; will probably have to try making a lily with these.

  13. Catalina, 26 April, 2010

One word – Beautiful! Can’t wait!!

  14. Linda K., 26 April, 2010

  17. Peggy Barnes, 27 April, 2010

What better colors to make you feel like spring is finally here. I have lilies of all colors all over my yard. I just wish they would keep reblooming all summer long. Thanks again Cindy and Doug for more great colors.

Anna I hope you have a wonderful visit with your Mother. She sounds like quite the go getter. Will the two of you be creating clay together?
    Enjoy
    Uuuuuugggs to all, Peggy

  18. Lawrence, 27 April, 2010

Stargazer lilies are one of my favorites as well. I received a bunch a couple of weeks ago from my family when my seventeen year old schnauzer, Celine, died. They are just wilting now but the colours were so beautiful. I should plant some in my garden but for now the colour palette will suffice.

  19. Phaedrakat, 27 April, 2010

@Lawrence: I’m really sorry to hear about your dog, Celine. I know it’s very difficult.

  20. Linda K., 27 April, 2010

@Lawrence: Oh, I’m so sorry that you’ve lost your little Celine. How very sad for you.

  21. Peggy Barnes, 28 April, 2010

@Lawrence: I as well would like to to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. 17 is a lot of years to share with a friend. Schnauzer’s are a very good companion with much loyalty to their loved one. Pets become a part of our family as so many of us know all too well. Maybe some day you can plant some Stargazer Lilies in momory of Celine. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
    Uuuuuuggggs, Peggy

  22. Mary, 28 April, 2010

@Lawrence:Lawrence, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve lost your beloved Celine. Seventeen is a good innings for a snauzer, so Celine must have been much adored and cossetted. Your family was so thoughtful to give you beautiful flowers; I hope the pain lessens while the happy memories stay. XX Mary

  23. Bonnie Kreger, 28 April, 2010

@Lawrence: Lawrence, so very sorry about your Celine. She’s a star up in heaven now like our little Annie who we lost last week. They shine down at night to let us know they are ok.

  24. Joyce M, 28 April, 2010

Lawrence, May the beautiful memories that you have of Celine bring you comfort. I love what Bonnie said, that she has become a star in the heavens looking down on you. I am sorry for your loss.

  25. Lawrence, 28 April, 2010

Thanks for all the very kind and thoughtful wishes, Now I will have a better appreciation of the night sky.

  26. Phaedrakat, 28 April, 2010

How fitting the flowers are Stargazer Lilies, as there’s a new star in the night sky…
