Polymer Clay Bead Giveaway: And the winner is… Lupe Meter

Lupe Meter - Polymer Clay Contest Lucky Winner “All I can say is that I am glad to be included with this talented bunch of artists!” ~Lupe-M

At midnight (EST) February 25, 2010, this fun give away event officially came to a close. There were a total of 262 comment entries. Based on a random drawing, it was Entry #28 that got pulled from the hat.

Counting down from the very top of the comments section at the January 29, 2010 contest blog post, you will see Lupe Meter occupying that Comment #28 spot. Congratulations you Lucky Girl!

Here is what Lupe said in her lucky #28 post…

Beautiful pieces of work everyone! Can’t wait to see more pictures. Thanks Cindy for your hard work on coming up with some great tutorials. And this is such a great way to show what everyone else is doing with the tutorials. All I can say is that I am glad to be included with this talented bunch of artists! Wishing everybody the best of luck!
~Lupe-M

So Lupe you will need to email me with your snail mail address, and I will forward the prize package right away. Hopefully when it arrives, you will feel all of the love and energy that went into making the beads for you. It would also be nice if you came back here to let everyone know that your gift arrived safe and sound.

Please everyone join me in the comments section below, to congratulate Lupe. Also be sure to congratulate yourself and each other… because you are all winners based on the fact that you participated and learned from the experience.

I just want to say that this contest has been a wonderful thing for all of us. No matter who wins the beads, we are all winners because we have stretched our minds and tried techniques that we might not have had the courage to attempt otherwise. Not only did this encourage me to try the techniques in Volume 14, but it also inspired me to try out what Cindy teaches us every week in the latest video. I can’t tell you all how much I am enjoying polymer clay since I found Cindy – I am totally obsessed! The new pieces of jewelry that I’ve made with polymer clay beads have gotten quite a bit of attention when I wear them. I used to get a few compliments on my jewelry. Now, my jewelry causes a commotion! ~Linda-K

Whoever wins this contest will be lucky indeed! As so many have said already, though, this is one of those opportunities where everyone who participated won – I can’t tell you how many times I have gone back to the photos. I am richer for having seen how my “classmates” interpreted what Cindy has given us. Thank you all. ~Elizabeth-S

Completely agree with Elizabeth!!!! This has been so much fun. First doing the techniques and then seeing everyone’s work. I feel like I’m in art school again, which I love! I feel young and inspired and excited about creating so I definitely feel like a winner! ~Melinda-H

I have Cindy, Doug, and Phaedrakat to Thank!!!!!! I couldn’t have done it without them. Phaedrakat helped me so much that I feel like I’ve known her forever. Cindy and Doug take a deep breath and relax , plus feel proud for all that you both have created.Thank you so much everyone, Luv Honey

  16. Phaedrakat, 26 February, 2010

I don’t see a comment from Lupe yet — does she know that she’s won? If not, this is going to be a huge surprise! I’m so very happy for her, and of course I’m jealous, too. But I think she’s very deserving. Her pieces are beautiful, and she was very good about answering questions about her work. (She might have made Helen Breil a sale or two on texture plates, too.) She was also quick to complement others. I think everyone did a tremendous job — with their creations, with the compliments to each other, and by providing inspiration to all of us! Thanks Cindy & Doug, for a fabulous contest, and for an opportunity to get to know each other better through art!

@Helen Sperring (honeyclay): Thanks! It was my pleasure to help you; I hope everything is working fine now. You’ve come a long way, with all this technology lately! ;D

  17. carolyn, 26 February, 2010

Again, congratulations, Lupe! I think if we are each honest with ourselves we are all just a tad jealous (as a couple of you have actually said), but at the same time we can congratulate ourselves on the growth and accomplishments that came about in us because Cindy initiated this contest. And we can congratulate Cindy for it has been a great success. We must each bookmark the entry page … if we ever need additional inspiration, all these wonderful entries will certainly provide it! Thank you each and everyone!

  18. Catalina, 26 February, 2010

Congratulations!!!!! I’m so happy for you! Cindy got it right you are a lucky girl!

  19. Sue Werner, 26 February, 2010

Congratulations Lupe! I am so happy for you! Your work is absolutely beautiful and intriguing and it would be great if Cindy could do an artist spotlight on your work to show us some close ups of your entries and anything else you want to show. Enjoy your beads!

  20. Peggy Barnes, 26 February, 2010

CONGRATULATIONS Lupe, So happy for you.

Cindy I think the biggest CONGRATULATIONS need to go to you and your wonderful hubby.

I love Carolines idea on everyone sending in a bead for a possible next contest. I can not offer myself or I would but is there any other way we can jump in and help you with a contest Cindy. My husband might be able to help load pictures up for you maybe. I just know that you and your hubby give so much as it is and even though I didn’t get beads entered in this contest I still had a blast of fun seeing every one’s enthusiasm. It would be great if we could do another contest later down the road. We just need to get some of that work load off of Cindy and her Hubby.
    Uuuuuuggggggs, Peggy

Lupe did a wonderful job of photographing her prize box and beads. Thank you, Lupe. BTW: You may have to do a ‘refresh’ when you get to Lupe’s blog from this post. Enjoy!

  30. carolyn, 27 February, 2010

Lupe, your blog is beautiful … how very special you must be to direct attention away from yourself and to photos of the works of others – around the world – that were submitted as part of the contest. God bless you real good!

  31. Cindy Lietz, 27 February, 2010

Wanted to let everyone know that Lupe’s gift prize box full of beads has just been shipped. She is going to report back here once the package arrives safe and sound on her door step. Hopefully there won’t be any delays at the border.

Cindy, Any idea on when the next contest will be? I practiced all of the techniques in the first contest, but was not brave enough to submit a picture. I hope I will be a bit braver for the nexxt go round! Will it be a vote on which video series we are going to be challenged with this time, or will you just surprise us? Looking forward to learning more, Tiffany

I just saw the bead pictures posted on Lupe’s blog. Stunning! It’s so cool to be able to zoom in on them a bit and see how lovely the finish is on them. Cindy’s beads are gorgeous — now I wonder what Lupe will do with them? Now, what I would do is… (just kidding, enjoy your beads, Lupe!)

  40. carolyn, 09 March, 2010

Well, refresh didn’t do what I thought it did, so you can scroll down to her archive and click on March. Or, if this works you can just go to: miramecreations.blogspot [dot] com/2010_03_01_archive.html substituting a ‘.’ for the [dot].

  41. Cindy Lietz, 09 March, 2010

Hi Everyone… Lupe posted the following quote in another thread that many of you probably did not see. So I am adding a duplicate copy of it here as well. The “Christmas in March” link by my name will take you directly to Lupe’s blog where she discusses her prize.

2010-03-08: “OH…and by the way…I received your package in the mail today! Safe and sound and you packaged it just beautifully! It was like Christmas all over again! I will be posting pictures of the beads on my blog tomorrow morning. Thank you so much Cindy! What a fantastic treasure!” ~Lupe

@Lupe: You are very welcome! I’m glad the package arrived safe and sound. So tell us… how are you going to use the beads? I am dying to know. Do you have a favorite?

FYI: The “Christmas in March” link by my name will take you directly to Lupe’s blog where she talks more about the beads that were included in her prize package.
