Cindy, what a haul!!! I would have been dancing out to my car, lol. Thank you so much for this cost saving tip!
Great tip! I am logging out and heading for Michaels now.
Just got back with a Michaels haul of my own. The clearance items are on the endcaps. I got a lot of spacer beads and Martha Stewart products like the double epoxy clay and jewelry glaze. Also all the beads are 50% off. Woo hoo!
This started last year with extra markdowns. We, employees, got corp to reduce clearance merchandise faster so we didn’t have to pack up so much to make room for the Christmas season. Like you said, if your not picky, you can get some real bargains. You are lucky to try the epoxy clay. My store never got it in. I would have liked to know how that clay worked. Her molds are cool. They work well with polymer clay. So, people, hurry and look for treasures! They will be packed up soon till after Christmas.
The Martha Epoxy clay is great… pretty pricey when it was regular price, but worth it on sale. Been hesitant to talk about it much because it is no longer available… but I definitely like it!
I figured as much. Not sure about any of the epoxy clays. Seems like a good idea but I’m not seeing a big need for it. Got a big clay-date with my friend’s 12 year old daughter tomorrow! We will be having a ball playing with our clay!
Um…I haven’t bought clay in a very long while, so when did Michaels stop selling Premo? All they had today was Sculpey III and their own store brand.
Hi Jill, my Michaels still carries Premo. Maybe it is something that has only been removed from your particular store? Why don’t you ask the staff there. Maybe they will still bring in some for you? Couldn’t hurt to ask.
Thanks, Cindy. I will ask them.
Thanks Cindy on the heads up on Michaels discounts. I went over to ours to check things out after watching your video and lo and behold they had an unadvertised special on Sculpey clay and I was able to pick up all the colors I was out of on Sale and got everything else at 40% off with their big storage clearance sale.
Cindy, can I ask about your lamp? Is it a clip-on or is it free standing? I find I need brighter light and your lamp looks like it would do the trick. Thanks. Janet
Hi Janet, that is just an old clamp on office lamp that I put a full spectrum ‘grow light’ into. Much cheaper than the large Ott lights available out there!
Great to know. We have had Michaels in Quebec for a shorter time than the rest of Canada so that was a very good info. Since they sell their stuff much higher than Chaton Beads where I usually go, I will keep it in mind.
Allways wonderful to learn things here.
