I was looking at a big pile of polymer clay beads today in my studio and was amazed to see how many different bead shapes there really are. I think that is one of the reasons I love making polymer clay beads and jewelry so much. Just the shear number of posibilities… how could you ever get bored?

Hi Cindy, I love your pillow bead. How do you make it? Do you make a square sorta,then push in the sides and pull up the corners to a point? I'd like to try one. I'd also would like to make a hollow one that has a pattern cut out and put something like a small bell inside for xmas When you make a hollow bead what do you use to join the seams with? Do you use liquid sculpty on the seams and rebake, or glue the seams with something like super glue? Thanks again for a list of so many shapes. Mary Ellen

@Mary Ellen: Thanks! You pretty much have the idea on how to make pillow beads. Though seeing it in video would help tremendously (I'll put it on my to do list :). For how to make hollow beads, type hollow into the search box at the top of this blog for more info on that.
