Great video Cindy. Very inspirational. Even though I make about 200 beads a week, I get in a fog about shapes and this video really helped.

Hi Bonnie, nice to hear from you… it has been a while! That is great to hear that you’ve been busy with production. Yeah sometimes that fog can happen when you’ve been doing the same routine for a while. Sometimes a new shape or a new color combo can clear that fog and get you fired up again. Happy that I could be of help in that regard! :)

I have been pondering what do you would recommend of making your first item of polymer clay. My sister told me about this clay so I thought it would be wonderful to start making so she sent me a starter pack. When I got my first few sets of polymer clay I thought that pens would do a good first item well as it turns out the pens wasn’t a good choice at least I didn’t think so. So what item do you recommend as a beginner.

Hi Billy, when I got started I started with beads. They are fairly simple to make, don’t use much clay, don’t need a lot of equipment and are useful in other projects. Other good projects are small ring dishes, earrings, charms etc. Do a quick search at the top of the page for “beginner”. That should bring up some good info. Lastly, I do have a great Beginner’s Course that shows you all the basics (it’s a little dated but the info is still good). Just click the Basics Course button at the top of this page, to learn more. Good luck!
