The projects are based on techniques learned from articles here at the blog, as well as from tutorials at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beadvideos.com\/back-issues\/\" class=\"external external_icon\" target=\"_blank\">Polymer Clay Video Library<\/a>. If I manage to do this tutorial I&#8217;ll send you a few beads in appreciation for your enabling me to participate in this lovely technique. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>~Carole-H<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Cindy<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Now that I have had a go at these faux opals, I am sending the copper wire wrapped opal heart pictured above, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/buffalo-snow-flakes-faux-opals\/8672\/#comment-31150\">Peggy Barnes<\/a> in appreciation of her generosity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">When I made this Faux Opal, I did not have the Bake and Bond, so I used Fimo Decorating Gel&#8230; a bit messy but not too bad. When they were cooked, I put into iced water. Then decided to save on sanding by putting them in my tumbler overnight. <em>WHAT A MESS! <\/em>There was sticky goo over all my pebbles and a milky sticky residue on the beads.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">So now I did what I was supposed to do in the first place&#8230; SAND, SAND, SAND. I now quite like them. But before I try again, I will have to find some B&amp;B.
