Only this time it&#8217;s her own palette, called <em>Spice and Serenity<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">If you don&#8217;t know who Sue is, she is one of our awesome members from <em>Down Under<\/em> (Australia). She&#8217;s always quick to offer excellent advice to others, and has an experienced eye for color mixing. Especially with Kato Polyclay!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Last week, Sue provided the Kato recipe equivalents for the Pansy Flower, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/kato-polyclay-color-recipes-pansy-flower-spring-color-palette\/8292\/\">Spring Color Palette<\/a> which I had originally created using Sculpey Premo clay. Her <em>Kato Konversion<\/em> was greatly appreciated by the <em>Kato Krowd<\/em>. OK ok I&#8217;m having too much fun with my K&#8217;s. So I&#8217;ll stop now, K? Oops :-)<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">You are so special to share these Pansy flower color recipes with us. Sometimes I succeed, and sometimes there are happy accidents, and sometimes it&#8217;s just a disaster (thank goodness for &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/polymer-clay-tutorial-jupiter-planet-beads-clay-extruder-gun\/4601\/\">Jupiter Beads<\/a>&#8220;). The colour chips I make are 28mm wide and 41mm long, which gives plenty of room for written information on the back. I use stickers because I&#8217;ve never found any kind of marker that doesn&#8217;t rub off and discolour the adjacent sample when I try to write directly on the colour chip. And because it makes it easy to change or add information&#8230; like the colour names I made up for these, and some reference numbers now that I&#8217;ve assigned them to a palette. I keep them strung in colour order on ball chain, but I took these off to photograph.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">It was actually quite fun choosing colours to go together &#8211; except for thinking of names to call them, which was a bit of a strain! &#8211; so I might have to reconsider your offer of having a guest series of Kato recipe posts if that&#8217;s still open.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I won&#8217;t be claying again for a few days now, but hopefully I&#8217;ll have time on the weekend to try your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/polymer-clay-tutorial-inked-surface-butterfly-earrings-video\/8326\/\">inked surface technique<\/a> when that video is published.
