It&#8217;s been pouring rain for months around here in Vancouver, and I&#8217;m feeling very done with these damp dark days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> That&#8217;s why I decided to post the cheery picture above, of the basket of pansy flower blooms. Hopefully this picture as well as the inspirational words from Kody-K, help to lift everyone&#8217;s spirits.<a name=\"whistler\"><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/images\/blog\/2010-01\/20-inukshuk-2009-08-28-232.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Inukshuk\" hspace=\"0\" width=\"260\" height=\"340\" align=\"left\" \/><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">With the <em>world<\/em> coming to our doorstep in just a few weeks from now, for the 2010 Winter Olympics, I&#8217;m sure the organizers of this huge event are praying for more snow to fall up in our local mountains. But it seems that most of that white stuff is ending up in the rest of Canada, many parts of the US and much of England. What&#8217;s up with that?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">My husband Doug, took this photo of a mini rock Inukshuk when we went up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/creative-blocks-making-polymer-clay-beads\/5444\/\">Whistler Mountain<\/a> at the end of Summer 2009, for a family vacation. Whistler is just a few hours drive north of where we live, and it is where many of the 2010 Olympic downhill events will be taking place. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">If you did not know, the Inukshuk rock formation, is what the Olympic logo was fashioned from. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Weather wise, last year was an entirely different story. Much less rain and oodles more snow.
