To some, it&#8217;s the desire of having original beads with which to make truly one-of-a-kind jewelry. I used some scrap clay to fill the hollow of the spoon and covered it with a layer of lacy clay. Then made 3 dimensional roses with butterflies on top.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The majority of my jewelry is made from polymer clay and I thank people like you Cindy, for sharing your knowledge. I have been a decorative painter for years and I&#8217;m really enjoying this great polymer clay medium.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I started out making homemade dough ornaments about 20 years ago and selling them at craft fairs. What inspires me is all the polymer clay people and their beautiful work and flowers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Challenges: <\/strong>Several years ago I fell and fractured my shoulder which meant a lot of therapy. Working with polymer clay has helped to strengthen my muscles and puts me in a zone where I&#8217;m concentrating and everything and all cares are moot.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Mistakes:<\/strong> Oh haven\u2019t we all made them cooking the clay to long and burning it. Not challenging myself to do bigger and better shows.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>What&#8217;s Next:<\/strong> Just to continue with what I\u2019m doing and always trying to improve.
