A Story About Crossbones Beads With a Happy Ending. Ahoy There Mate… From some of my other posts, you may already know that I’m a big fan of anything pirate… shoes, clothes, wearable accessories… and oh yes… pirate beads!<\/span><\/p>\n Today I’d like to share with you how important it is to always wear the bead jewelry you make, especially if it’s made with crossbones beads like the ones in<\/span> the photos.<\/span><\/p>\n Just the other day as usual, I was wearing a favorite pirate bead lanyard on my way in to yoga class. I use this pirate lanyard to hold a YMCA membership card and keys… pirate beads being my way of ‘living on the edge’<\/i> without actually having to get a tattoo.<\/span><\/p>\n On this particular day, I had to flash my membership card to the lady behind the desk in order to get a guest pass for my mom who was visiting with me. Well this lady saw the crossbones beads hanging around my neck and instantly fell in love with them. She wanted to buy the lanyard right then and there, but didn’t have the money on her. <\/span><\/p>\n Long story short, we made arrangements to meet up the next day and now she is the proud owner of one of my funky beaded lanyard creations!<\/span><\/p>\n Of course this means I will have to use a different lanyard until I get the chance to make up some more pirate cross bone beads… but it’s all good.<\/span><\/p>\n So like I said earlier, always be wearing your beaded jewelry projects.
