Polymer Clay Roses with Beautiful Variegated Petals:<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A year ago, I posted a tutorial video about how to make the Skinner Blend Plug<\/a>. This is a very basic, but important technique that everyone interested in polymer clay should learn.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now if you have been following me for any length of time, you should realize that I am always looking for new ways to adapt techniques. Improve upon them. Speed things up. Make life easier. Come up with modifications to produce new affects.<\/span><\/p>\n

A good example of this is my Teardrop Blend technique which speeds up the process of making polymer clay color gradients. You can read all about it here: Lietz Teardrop Method<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Well this week I’ve come up with another innovation. It’s a neat little adaptation to the Skinner Blend Plug that works beautifully to create variegated petals for sculpted rose beads<\/a>. I’ll be demonstrating the technique this week in the members library.<\/span><\/p>\n
