We had been working quite hard over the couple of weeks of our trip, and the campground was so quiet and dark, that I didn&#8217;t stir until I heard the trailer door close.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">It was Doug&#8230; not only had he been up for hours, but he was just coming back from a hike down to the beach to take photographs. Today&#8217;s photo of a Rock Crab shell resting amongst the jagged black rocks on the rocky shore, was just one of many he took that early morn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Although I obviously needed the sleep and was glad to get it, I was disappointed on missing the early morning hike with Doug. Judging by the pictures he took, the views were quite stunning. I did get the chance to go on another hike with him the next day though&#8230; so all was good.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Over the next while you too will get to see many of Doug&#8217;s photos, taken on this trip, as the photo inspirations for upcoming color recipe palettes. And <em>Rocky Shore<\/em> is the bluish black gray of the angular rocks, covering this rocky shoreline.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Hi Cindy.
