There’s a cute story about this photograph of a VERY<\/em> fresh Tiger Prawn…<\/span><\/p>\n

You see… back in mid-February, there came a knock on our front door. It was my Dad and he asked if we would like some fresh crab and prawns for dinner? I answered, “Yes!”<\/em> Doug and Willow are huge fans of anything seafood related. Fisher is only moderately interested. Me on the other hand… not so much. I guess all those years as a Fisherman’s Daughter kind of took the appeal out of seafood for my taste buds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anyway… Dad said, “Come out to the van with a pot and a lid,”<\/em> … which I thought was a little ominous, but I obeyed. He opened the cooler and right there were some lively Tiger Prawns flipping around in front of me, and a couple of snappy Dungeness Crabs!<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, it’s not everyday you get live shellfish delivered to your front door! You can’t get fresher than that! Even I might be interested in having some for dinner.<\/span><\/p>\n

As it turns out, one of my Dad’s fishing buddies had taken him out that afternoon to check on some traps. Being out on the ocean will always be special for my Dad. He just recently sold his commercial fishing boat and officially retired from a career that he’d been doing for over 3 decades. That picture below is (was)<\/em> his boat… The Royal Quest…<\/span><\/p>\n

Now since you will never see a more handsome Tiger Prawn than one that is still actually walking around, Doug thought this the perfect opportunity to snap some photos for this months Vol-072 B-series color palette.<\/span><\/p>\n
