Most people yank it from their gardens if ever it shows up, lest it gain a foothold.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">However, I feel a little more tenderness towards the lowly Tansy. Their button top umbrella shaped clusters of <em>flowers<\/em>, and their feather-like leaf fronds, are interesting to me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">They do have a pungent smell though&#8230; not unlike many of the other roadside <em>companions<\/em> that they hang out with. Although I have not had the chance to do any research on the Wild Tansy, my guess is they have some sort of medicinal properties&#8230; most herbaceous <em>weeds<\/em> like this, do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I actually find the the whole idea of herbs and their uses fascinating. It is as though I once was an medicine woman who roamed the forest collecting herbs in a little leather pouch around my neck, to bring back to my tribe as remedies and to make dyes for the endless crafts that I did&#8230; of course :)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">So without traveling too far down this garden path, what I will say is that it is my kindred feelings towards wild plants and flowers, that compels me to value their beauty&#8230; when most others would pass them over without much thought.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">And in a roundabout way, this explains why Doug&#8217;s Wild Tansy photo taken during our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/category\/pct-roadtrips\/\">Summer 2013 PcT Roadtrip<\/a>, became my inspiration for the Vol-070 A-series color palette.<a name=\"lg\"><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/?p=18339#sm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin: 0px; border: 0pt none;\" alt=\"Wild Tansy Palette by Polymer Clay Tutor\" src=\"http:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/images\/blog\/2014-02\/17-wild-tansy-palette-070a-lg.jpg\" width=\"575\" height=\"323\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The following Vol-070 A-series Wild Tansy Color Palette will be added to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beadvideos.com\" class=\"external external_icon\" target=\"_blank\">Polymer Clay Members Library<\/a> at the beginning of March 2014:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong><strong>Wild Tansy<\/strong> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 070-1A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong><strong><strong>Dusty Peach<\/strong><\/strong> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 070-2A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong><strong><strong>Dusty Amber<\/strong> <\/strong><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 070-3A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong><strong><strong>Tansy Leaves<\/strong> <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 070-4A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[wp_ad_camp_1]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">&#8230;<\/span>\u00a0Wild Tansy<\/em> is a dusty warm yellow found on the sunny flower buttons of the Wild Tansy. <em>Dusty Peach<\/em> is the dusty pastel peach color with a hint of lavender, that rims the blossoms. <em>Dusty Amber<\/em> is the rusted golden color of the aging flowers. And <em>Tansy Leaves<\/em> is the soft pastel green of the feather-like leaves of this fascinating little roadside wildflower.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Beautiful colours as always, Cindy! I&#8217;ve always worked in Fimo, which is the only polymer clay available in stores in my area &#8211; in fact I&#8217;ve found the name &#8220;Fimo&#8221; to be the generic term for polymer clay in the UK for most people, except for devotees of course. But I&#8217;ve now found an on-line resource for Premo! and I&#8217;ll be adding colours with each new card you publish. Up till now I&#8217;ve been more interested in the videos each week, but now I can&#8217;t wait till the next colour card appears, it will be like magic creating new colours!
