I know, I know, I’ve already done a couple of polymer clay color palettes using sunflowers as my inspiration, but I can’t help it… they’re inspiring! Especially a whole field of them, like in this picture that Doug shot on his birthday this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunflowers just seem to be such happy flowers. They turn their heads to face the warm golden sun, swaying to a rhythm all of their own.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seeing an entire field of colorful sunflowers, with their yellow, orange and even some pinkish flower heads, all bobbing their heads in the breeze, reminds me of children (albeit very tall ones), dancing and singing, without a care in the world. <\/span><\/p>\n

If I hadn’t been so tired (and not afraid of the farmer throwing me out of his field) I would have loved to dance along with those pretty sunflowers. You see I am very much a child still at heart and although I rarely act on such fantasy ideas, I do go there in my minds eye sometimes.<\/span><\/p>\n

So… when looking through the photos Doug had for me to choose for our next set of color recipes, naturally I chose this sunflower photo. Even if I had already done an Autumn Sunflower Palette<\/a> and a Summer Sunflower Palette<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
