Last week I showed you a color recipe palette (Vol-062-A Fetching Vetch Flower<\/a>), based on some Vetch Flowers that had entwined themselves around some grass stems on a sandy dune along the coast of Oregon.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this next palette, I chose a photo taken at the same time by Doug, but this time of only the seed heads of the beach grasses that were swaying in the ocean breeze.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is something so soothing about the colors in this photo and palette. It’s funny… peaceful colors seem to be what I am gravitating to the most lately. It must be my way of trying to balance all the chaos in my life right now.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the conversations I am having with you all… it appears that I am not the only one to be swept off their feet by today’s hectic lifestyles. I think we are all so bombarded with information, tasks and the hubbub of just trying to make a living, that it is time that we all take a deep breath… soak in the beauty that nature surrounds us with, and slow down enough to enjoy life a little!<\/span><\/p>\n

So, this calming color inspiration is my gift of balance to you. Sit down for a while and mix up a batch of these calming colors and make yourself some pretty new Summer jewelry. It will be like taking that long needed trip to the beach… even if it is only in your imagination!<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
