It is actually a decorated garbage can that we found on the streets of Astoria Oregon last summer during our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/selling-polymer-clay-jewelry-public-market\/16407\/\">1st PcT Roadtrip<\/a>!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">In fact these <em>Salmon Tin Bins<\/em> were all over the place&#8230; especially downtown, close to where the Astoria Sunday Market happens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Situated at the mouth of the Columbia River, Astoria had a booming fish cannery that operated for many years. Today, the site is home to an amazing hotel. And, <em>Chinook<\/em> is the greenish silver gray of the skin of the Chinook Salmon on the can label. Its also a color that you would find on live Chinook salmon swimming around in the Pacific Ocean. I know this personally&#8230; having worked as a deckhand on my father&#8217;s fishing boat as a teen. Bet you didn&#8217;t know that about me!<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The recipes described above are from the Volume-059 B-Series Palette.
