Is there a flower that sings more loudly the virtues of Spring, than the lovely Daffodil?<\/span><\/p>\n

Can’t you just picture a sweet little group of Kindergarten kids dancing around on the stage with their cheery faces peeking out of a Daffodil costume… there’s hardly a happier more spring-like image than that!<\/span><\/p>\n

It is exactly that kind of bliss I feel, just looking at this photo of a Jonquil Daffodil that our daughter Willow shot last Spring in the gardens of Surrey City Hall. Which reminds me, I will have to take her to that garden again this Spring… especially now that she has her beautiful new professional camera.<\/span><\/p>\n

This photo was actually taken on the same day and may have even been from the same clump of daffodils that Willow took of the daffodil stems photo I used in the Rain Dance Palette from last month. It always amazes me how just a slightly different angle and a shift in lighting can change the way the colors look in a photo. If you take a look at the Rain Dance Palette<\/a>, you will see what I mean.<\/span><\/p>\n

The flower stems in the Rain Dance Palette look to be a much softer green than the darker shade found in the stems of today’s photo. It just goes to show that you could take a hundred different photos of the same clump of flowers and come up with thousands of color combinations inspired by them. Incredible really when you think of it! It also means that I will never run out of color inspiration for future color recipes.<\/span><\/p>\n
