So when I saw this picture Willow took of her little twin cousin&#8217;s vintage firetruck perched upon her knee, it fitted the bill perfectly!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I love these kind of simple imagination based toys. Doug has a whole case of old Matchbox cars that he passed on to Fisher (and Willow if she wants some too). So seeing my 4 year old nephews (Cole and Lucas) in love with their little vintage firetruck, brought a smile and a feeling of nostalgia to my heart.<a name=\"lg\"><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/firetruck-palette-premo-color-recipes-vol-051-a\/15789\/#sm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin: 0px; border: 0pt none;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/images\/blog\/2012-07\/09-firetruck-palette-051a-polymer-clay-tutor-lg.jpg\" alt=\"Firetruck Color Palette by Polymer Clay Tutor\" width=\"575\" height=\"323\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The following Vol-051 A-series Firetruck color palette will be added to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beadvideos.com\/\" class=\"external external_icon\" target=\"_blank\">Polymer Clay Members Library<\/a> during the month of August 2012:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Firetruck <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 051-1A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Running Boards <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 051-2A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Emergency <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 051-3A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Painted Ladder<\/strong><strong><em><em> <\/em><\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 051-4A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[wp_ad_camp_1]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">&#8230;<\/span> Firetruck<\/em> represents the deep rich red found in the crevices of the firetruck, where the color had deepened over time and was spared from the bleaching sun. <em>Running Boards<\/em> is the timeworn black with just a hint of brown from the years of rolling over sidewalks and dirt piles, heading to imaginary fires. <em>Emergency<\/em> is a the yellow pinstripe found on the side of the vintage fire engine. And <em>Painted Ladder<\/em> is the creamy white color of the aging paint on the firetrucks ladder and the hood of the cab.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I love the color recipe names you come up with each one, they just seem to fit them perfectly. I have printed everyone and had to go out and buy another receipe box to hold them all. I don&#8217;t get to mix each one, in fact I am way behind in that field but you keep coming up with such exciting projects I forget about making the color chips! I was just thinking about you reaching your 50th volume last week when I decided to do a spreadsheet on them all so I could find them by their &#8220;Group Headings&#8221;.  After I decided what those would be, then I listed the Volume and the Video  number it appeared in. It turned out to be one of the best things I could have done. Now I can find what I am looking for right away instead of clicking through all the videos trying to find the right one. Inserting a new one is so easy too, all I have to do is decide what Heading it goes under and pop it into the new row. 50 volumes of videos is a lot and I decided if I am going to be collecting another 50 or 100 or 200, I needed to get organized. Anyone can do this too, by using a card file if they don&#8217;t have any spreadsheet experience.
