And this one, with the water droplet and the tiny ‘bite mark’ out of the top that Willow shot, is a perfect example of a gorgeous shade of hot pink!

The hot colors I have noticed in the stores lately are a big reminder of the 80’s. I was a teen in the early 80’s. In fact I graduated from high school in 1984. The same year Doug graduated from University. So bright lively colors are a part of my history.

Similar to the 80’s, the bright neon colors are often worn together, making for some very lively looking outfits, that not everyone feels comfortable wearing. So, after seeing this photo with the soft green background beside the hot pink, I thought it would be nice to pair the bright Tulip color with some more neutral colors. This makes the pink the focal of the palette, but gives a maturity and ease that makes it a very wearable color combination for just about everyone.

This pretty Tulip photo is the inspiration for our next B-Series Recipe Palette. I’m a newbie and the thing that seems to stop me in my tracks most often is blending colors. I can follow the recipes of others and come up with gorgeous clay, but am uncharacteristically frozen when it comes to experimenting on my own. Until I get to that place where I’m more comfortable, I appreciate sites like yours that take the time to create and pass on lovely color palettes. ~Karan-C

I love your beads and recipe cards, and am always so amazed at your ability to work with color. I was actually in my bathroom the other day, for my morning sit down and noticed my shower curtain. It is in rich browns, golds and tans. I’m thinking what great colors and textures it would be use to as a polymer clay tube bead. Also, I got a catalog from a well known flower company and just looking through it, at the color spectrum available in nature, I see ‘treasure’ now in even my junk mail! Thanks for helping me to be inspired with the idea of color in nature, mail and yes, even my bathroom curtain. ~Karen-O

***********************************************************************************************

If you would like more information about the Members Library, here are some direct links:

Library Member Benefits and What Others Are Saying
Order Page for Color Recipe and Video Back Issue Packages
Become A Full Member at the Library

[25
588,2212
post-15669","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-color-recipes","tag-flowers","tag-tulips
["GET
