Thanks.&#8221; <span style=\"color: #808080;\">~Marion-R<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Over time, I am coming to realize that you should never underestimate a simple idea, just because it is simple. Nowhere in the &#8216;Book of Life&#8217; or the &#8216;Artists Handbook&#8217; does it say that something has to be complicated to be great.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I see people over-complicating things all the time. It is as if the idea wouldn&#8217;t be &#8216;good enough&#8217; unless it was hard. If it takes some serious, precise calculations, a week long workshop and an art school or rocket science degree to figure out, it has got to be better&#8230; right?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><em>Wrong!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Although I am usually pretty good at simplifying the complicated, there have been a few cases when an idea has been overlooked because it seemed so simplistic that it almost felt like &#8216;cheating&#8217; to show you all how to do it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Did you know that if Doug hadn&#8217;t pushed me to show you all my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/lietz-teardrop-blend-color-shifts-polymer-clay-tutorial-video\/13005\/\">Teardrop Blend<\/a> method of making complicated multi-colored Skinner Blends, that I may not have even bothered to show you? At the time, I really didn&#8217;t think too much about it. I found the other way of doing it too hard, so I did it an easy way. No big deal I thought&#8230; <em>wrong again!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Well, looks like I did it again&#8230; skipped over something cool because it was easy! It wasn&#8217;t until Marion-R read an old post and reminded me to show you all how to make my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beadsandbeading.com\/blog\/instructions-combining-brain-cane-rose-cane\/2537\/\">Rose version of the Brain Cane<\/a>, that I even remembered about this project. So after whipping up a few sample canes and some beads, I fell in love!
