Well I have the perfect color palette for you!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This beautiful flower that Doug captured in this photograph from our front yard, is called a Hypericum; also known as the St. John&#8217;s Wort. I have no idea who St. John is or what a Wort could possibly be. But with a flower this pretty, they can&#8217;t be all bad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This sunny blossom is the inspiration for the Vol-037 A-series color recipes. They will be added to the Polymer Clay Members Library in June 2011:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Teal Leaves <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 037-1A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Sunlight <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 037-2A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Lily Pad <\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 037-3A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Pewter Sky<\/strong> <\/span><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Recipe 037-4A)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><em>Teal Leaves<\/em> is the dark and dusty Blue-Green of the leaves in the background. <em>Sunlight<\/em> is the sunny Yellow of the blossoms of the St. John&#8217;s Wort shrub. <em>Lily Pad<\/em> is the limey Green star shaped bracts in the center of the flower. And <em>Pewter Sky<\/em> is the silvery Blue-Gray of the sky\u00a0 peeking through the branches.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Color mixing is one of my biggest challenges. Your recipes are fantastic and I print them all out and keep them in a binder for future reference. I have done the Maggie Maggio course but still have trouble &#8220;seeing&#8221; which color to use to match a particular palatte. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experience.
