Over the last week or so, I have written several times about some ID lanyards<\/a> I made for a custom order. The order has long left the studio, but since I’ve taken<\/span> pictures of them all, I thought I would share another one with you.<\/span><\/p>\n

The badge lanyard pictured above was created with faux turquoise beads made from polymer clay. This faux technique involved mixing and chopping up turquoise colored clays. The clay pieces were then covered with sand and paint, before getting lumped all together to make the turquoise beads.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a very messy process, but simple to do and the effect is quite genuine looking.<\/span><\/p>\n

My lanyard beads for this project are round nugget shapes. In a previous post I showed you a jewelry bracelet<\/a> made with both the nuggets and some cube shaped faux turquoise beads which have a different look all together.<\/span><\/p>\n
