The piece although quite detailed, has a simplicity to it that feels peaceful and elegant. The beadwork is simple and puts the focus on the pendant&#8230; <\/span><i><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">where the focus should be.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The flower design was inspired by a Japanese fabric art called tsumami kanzashi, where flower petals are cut and sewn from the fabric of old kimonos. Elaine says she found a tutorial about this unique sewing technique and then adapted it to to polymer clay by creating sheets of faux fabric using her polymer clay canes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I love the way the folded petals have the softness and design of real fabric and the sheen and structure of polymer clay.
