Into The Blue <\/em>Polymer Clay Pendants:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Like the soft chalky blue of the summer sky… Or the relaxed comfort of a faded pair of jeans… There’s something awfully peaceful about the color blue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Created using my own handmade texture sheets, these sweet little pendants with the Sterling Silver bails were color washed in several coats of acrylic paint and then distressed to reveal the layers beneath.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forget-Me-Not Pendant:<\/strong><\/span> The smaller more dainty pendant, is double sided with a tiny flower that reminds me of a forget-me-not on one side and etched circles which represent the rings of a tree on the other. This little sweetie is approximately 3\/4 inches (2 cm) in diameter and 1\/8th inch (5 mm) thick. It hangs from a solid Sterling Silver Pinch Bail and Sterling Silver double looped headpin, making the total length of the pendant 1 and 1\/8 inch (3 cm) long. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dream Pendant: <\/strong><\/span>The second, larger pendant was created with a textured disk incorporating my Bubble Wrap<\/em> texture plate design, on one side and a Dot Dot Dash<\/em> design on the other. The 1 1\/2 inch diameter (4 cm) disk was then color washed with paints in Blues and Whites and distressed to give it a time worn feel. To add some whimsy, an antiqued earth toned bead with the word Dream<\/em> was added to the front of the disk, using a Sterling Silver flame dipped headpin and small Swarovski crystals. The headpin was then forged into a bail for a unique, one-of-a-kind look. The total length of this pendant including the bail, is almost 2 inches (5 cm).<\/span><\/p>\n

Either pendant would look lovely on a silver chain, as you can see in the photos above. By the way, that chain in the pictures is one I’ve had since a child, so I’m keeping it, but I’m sure you already have a chain that will work beautifully.<\/span><\/p>\n
