Video Tutorials: How to Make Calla Lily Beads, Butterfly Pendants; Beaded S-Hook Clasps; and Dogwood Flower Cane.
Now that September has come and gone, another back issue has been packaged up and posted in the Polymer Clay Library. It is listed as Volume-016. The photo above, shows the thumbnail images for the 4 videos included in this package:
Video-016-1 Calla Lily Beads: You’re going to love making these Calla Lily Beads… using cane slices from the Gerbera Flower Cane of Volume 015 (or your own color choices). They are so simple to make, yet so incredibly pretty, that you’ll feel like a genius after making a few these wonderful beads!
Video-016-2 Butterfly Pendant: Butterfly jewelry is all the rage right now, so why not make your own butterfly pendant with polymer clay! This large and funky pendant is made using the Studio by Sculpey Shape Maker’s Leaf Set IV, Studio by Sculpey Clay and Premo Translucent Clay.
Video-016-3 Beaded S-Hook Clasp: Why buy findings for your polymer clay jewelry, when you can easily and inexpensively make your own? Especially when they turn out as cool as these!
Video-016-4 Dogwood Flower Cane: Although this polymer clay cane isn’t done in the typical colors you would see in a natural Dogwood flower, the petal shape is similar… which is why I just had to call this a Dogwood Flower Cane. You’re going to enjoy the versatility of this beautiful Fall colored cane!
Also included in this Volume-016 back issue package is the A-Series recipe cards from the Day Lily Coral Color Palette.

MICHAELS SALE ALERT- All Polymer Clay 4 for $5.00.
Thanks Anna! Hobby Lobby is much closer to me but for that kind of savings a trek across town is certainly in order.
Here in Canada we are having the same sale only 4 for $8 on all brands of polymer clay at Michaels. Not near as good of a deal but I went and got some Premo since I was running low and I doubt it will go on for less.
Thanks for the heads up on the sale.
I’m looking forward to spending some time making those calla lilies Cindy.
And btw – thank you for all the work you do helping us. I know I would not have been able to accomplish what I have done in such a short time if it weren’t for you and your tutorials and generous help. Thank you.
Hi Cindy,
I have only been a member for a few weeks but I look forward to Fridays for another reason now besides the weekend. I enjoy your videos. I’m working on my techniques while narrowing down my many ideas and inspirations. I tend to overwhelm myself with ideas then get stuck in the execution. Your videos keep my exercises short and simple. I bought my supplies before signing up with your network so I have Sculpey III clays. Any conversion information for your color recipes would be helpful. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Juli Rich
Thank you so much Juli and Aims for your very kind feedback about how the library videos are helping you. Hopefully your stories will resonate with others who may reading here too.
In regards to Sculpey III colors, there are a few recipes posted here at the blog, thanks to the kindness of another member [Carrie-W] who sent them in for everyone’s benefit. The link by my name will take you to those Sculpey Recipes.
