It’s best to limit the number of clay colors you work with when first starting out as a beginner. Choosing one of each in the chart will not only be expensive, but you will also have a difficult time making them all flow together nicely.
One Premo brand beginner combo set that I recommend, includes: White, Black, Translucent, Zinc Yellow, Cadmium Red Hue and Cobalt Blue. You will be able to mix up a wide range of your own custom colors from these initial choices.

Can you say MUD!! I have had my fair share of mixing the wrong colors together. I have never had a course in color theory and learned pretty quickly that is is difficult to always get the desired result. But thanks to your color recipes I’m doing a lot better now!
Thanks Katina! Color mixing can be a challenge but if you start first by using recipes, you can get a handle on how certain colors of polymer clay will behave.
Keep doing that and you will find it becomes easier and easier to get the results you are looking for.
