What a cute little name for a cute little flower! The Forget-Me-Not is such a dainty little thing, that I thought it would be fun to create a color palette you wouldn’t forget, inspired by its lovely blue blossoms..
The following individual recipes will be added to the Polymer Clay Members Library during the month of Jun-2010 in Vol-025 [A-Series]:
- Forget-Me-Not (Recipe 025-1A)
- Sunnyside Up (Recipe 025-2A)
- Mother Nature (Recipe 025-3A)
- Sapphire Bud (Recipe 025-4A)
Forget-Me-Not is the bright baby blue of the petal blossoms of this teeny tiny flower. Sunnyside Up is the soft sunshine yellow of the flowers’ centers. Mother Nature is the dusky green found in the surrounding foliage and Sapphire Bud is the purple blue of the emerging buds.
I do love your color palettes. I use them as inspiration for my own color mixing times and I find them utterly invaluable. Thank you so much for the inspiration!

One of my favourite flowers! So bright and cheerful and cute and the ones in my garden don’t require any work at all, lol. I especially like how the flowers start off pink then gradually go blue.
Just yesterday, I was thinking about trying to recreate forget-me-not blue color.
Beautiful soft, summery palette. It’s so wonderful to get these recipes from you. I paint a lot of foget me not s when I paint cards.

@Elizabeth S.: I know just what you mean Elizabeth. Flowers are now so bright with so many different shades of colors. Cindy and Doug bring us so much, they are a rainbow of artistic talent. We are all so blessed to be learning so much from the two of them.

Hi Cindy, I’ve been looking over some old colors and I found that I have recipe colors-A but I do not have recipe colors-B. How or where do I find the B-week colors? Debbie
Glad to hear you guys are liking this Forget-Me-Not color palette. Thanks for saying so. I really appreciate reading all of your sweet comments.
@Debbie Rhodes: Currently there are no back issues posted, for the B-series Color Recipes. I will be making them available at some point, but I’ve just not had the time to get it done yet.
So currently, the only way to collect the B-series Color recipes is to download them from the weekly newsletter emails which get sent out on Friday mornings. Each newsletter contains two B-series Color recipes and one from the most current A-series palette.
If you did not realize it, all of the B-series recipes get cycled through the newsletter twice. So if you miss any on the first go round, you will get a second chance to save them in round two.
The A-series recipes on the other hand, are available anytime when you log into your members only library account.
BTW… Here at the blog, there are some great tips and creative ideas on how other members are saving, filing, storing, printing and referencing the color recipe cards along with the color palette photos. You can use keywords like “color recipes” “B series” in the search box at the top of the page, if you would like to research this topic. The member tips and suggestions will be in the comment sections of the various posts you find when you do your searches.

@Shannon: It is, isn’t it? I love the names Cindy gives to her luscious colors! These palettes are always yummy. I took a look at your Etsy shop — you’ve got some lovely items! Your patina’d metals and wirework are gorgeous. I also love the resin charms like those shown in Belle Armoire Jewelry. Which type of resin do you use — UV, or something like ICE resin?
