In the last 5th Friday Video (March 29th Studio Chit-Chat), I briefly showed and talked about the 3 polymer clay jewelry pieces that I will be donating to the Orlando Area Polymer Clay Guild’s Annual Clay Fandango Retreat Auction.
Today you get to see them up close and personal, in the gallery slide show below, that Willow and Doug put together.
The Fandango Event will be held in Lake Yale, on May 3-7th 2012. It is a 3 day retreat with workshops by Meridith Arnold, Doreen Kassel and Barbara Macguire… plus demos from Linda Hess, Alice Stroppel and Judy Kelly.
It sounds like an amazing good time and I wish my whole body was going there instead of just my jewelry!

- 1 pair “Red Clover Earrings” made by Cindy Lietz, Polymer Clay Tutor. Polymer Clay Red Clover Beads, Swarovski Crystals and Silver Filled Wire. Approximately 2″ (5cm) Long and 5/8″ (1.5cm) Wide. Displayed on handmade, signed gift tag / display card.
- 1 “Martian Wildflower Pendant” made by Cindy Lietz, Polymer Clay Tutor. Polymer Clay Flower Bead, Bronze Wire, Copper Wire and Vintage Beads. Approximately 3″ (7.5cm) Long and 1″ (2.5cm) Wide. Displayed on handmade, signed gift tag / display card.
- 1 “White Dogwood Pendant” made by Cindy Lietz, Polymer Clay Tutor. Polymer Clay Flower and Bronze Wire. Approximately 2 1/4″ (5.5cm) Long and 2 1/4″ (5.5cm) Wide. Displayed on handmade, signed gift tag / display card.
Since all three of these pieces are being donated to the OAPCG Fandango auction, they will not be available for purchase today, at this page. However, if you are going to the Florida Clay Fandango Retreat, do support the Guild by bidding on one of the many beautiful items that will be available at the event.
Oh… and say Hi to OAPCG President Charline Ahlgreen from me. Besides her commitment on the executive board, she also took on the role of Donations Chairwoman for the 2012 Fandango Event. Have fun! I wish Doug and I could be there with everyone in person!

They are so beautiful. Love the paper you used for the tag sand photo slides and details they took for the auction. so exciting. Wish i were going.
All three just blow me away from packaging to artistry, but, I’m going to bet the Red Clover earrings get the most attention.
All 3 pieces are really exceptional and I hope they bring a really good auction price. The Martian Wildflower caught my eye. It really does look Martian! LOL The tags are so pretty. Please, please tell us Cindy what die you purchased to cut out your tags.
Sorry I missed your question Dixie Ann… The die I used is by Sizzix and is called, Tags, Scallop Combo #2. I got it at Michaels around Christmas time. Hope that helps!

That depends on what colors you like Teresa. It really doesn’t matter which color you start with. I think I will eventually get them all!

Need your suggestion on selling on consignment. I make pendants and was wondering if I should sell just the pendant or would it be better to put it on a chain of some kind? Which way do you think buyers would prefer. This is my first time selling my work and I’m a nervous wreck. Any suggestions would be grateful. Thank you for all your great video tutorials. I want to quit my day job and play with clay!!!

Hi Pat, what I do is put chains on some of my pendants and leave others without. If a customer wants it with a chain, I just take it off another one. Most people have chains at home and don’t mind buying the pendant without one. Doing it this way, you have all the options available. Hope this helps, have a great weekend! Christl

I just was at a bead show in Oaks, PA. and I saw some pendants with chains and others without. What was strange the price was the same. I guess it is whatever works! Thank you again, Pat
