“As someone who gave fimo pieces for Christmas in the 80’s, you’ve inspired me to a whole new art form.”

With Fall well under way, at least in this part of the world, it is time to start thinking about getting ready for Christmas. Yes I know it’s early but us beaders have to start thinking ahead! So today I thought I’d give you a sneak peak into what I’m working on as far as Christmas designs.
Based on your comments, I know you guys like polymer clay projects that are versatile and creative. I’ve shown you this versatility with both the Gerbera Cane as well as with the Dogwood Flower Cane.
You can make a variety of different bead projects from the exact same cane, as can be seen in the following examples in case you missed them:
- Calla Lily Beads made from petals of the Gerbera Flower Cane
- Modified Trumpet Flower Beads, also made from Gerbera Petals
- Butterfly Jewelry Pendant from the Dogwood Cane Project
- Rosary Beads, also made from the Dogwood Flower Cane
This type of versatility is exactly what you can also expect from the Holly Leaf and Berry Cane projects that I’ll be teaching in the upcoming Volume-018. Christmas Jewelry that’s varied and spectacular. You’re going to love it!
May I say (as someone who gave everybody fimo pieces for Christmas in the 80’s), you’ve inspired me to a whole new art form. I’m not really a bead maker, but your videos have encouraged me towards really creative uses of polymer clay. I’ve now got my pasta machine (what a difference!), my Johnson’s Klear (yes, it’s here in the UK and it does work) and a whole new approach to earrings, rings and tealight holders. Keep up the great work! ~Lore-C
By the way, today’s photo shown above, focuses in on just one of the larger focal beads used in my Christmas jewelry necklace project. I’ll show you more of this piece in future blog posts… so do stay tuned.
Looking forward to it Cindy – I have THE Christmas fair next month!!! So I’m busy, busy, busy!
I love it !!!! The great thing about Holly is that it is not just for the Christmas season. Holly can be worn all winter and by people of different cultures and faiths. When will you be showing us these techniques?
@Anna – this will be in Volume-018 which is scheduled for November release.
There is always so much to look forward to at this blog. Thanks Cindy!
I can hardly wait for this one…I love holliday stuff!! Sure wish you were teaching us the pirate cane for halloween. Maybe in the future??? *fingers crossed*

What a neat idea. Beautiful beads and I like the touch of the wire.
Hi Cindy, I was wondering how I will know it is time to pay for my next set of weeks of the program. I don’t want to be without you and your weekly classes. Please let me know how may weeks the classes are for and how many I have left. Thanks Cindy.
@All – glad you like this Christmas theme bead (I do too :)
@Lisa – With all that has been happening, I missed the window for doing a Halloween themed video tutorial for this year. I promise to think further ahead for next year.
@Stephanie – Thanks for your question about the payment scheduling. This one has actually come up several times today alone. When you sign up for a library subscription, you are set up on a recurring payment plan. That means that your credit or debit card will automatically get billed each 90 days. As long as you have clicked on the link to confirm your email address when you first signed up as a member, you will receive a courtesy email just before your next payment is scheduled to take place. To find out when your next payment is due, you can go to your library “admin” section. When you are logged into your beadvideos.com library account, you will see a link that says “site admin” at the top of the right sidebar. Hopefully that answers your question well enough. If not, let me know and I will clarify further.
Thank You Cindy!!!
Love the holly bead(s). I think your Graffti Beads with Christmas words etc., would be beautiful as well. You have came up with some beautiful things before and I have no doubt you will again.
Thanks guys!
Cant wait for your Christmas beads video, meanwhile trying to keep up with all the latest ones.
