Man, I don’t know about you, but we are just barely into Winter and I am already itching for Spring! So when I came across this lovely photo Willow shot of a raindrop dripping off the end of a Blue Hyacinth flower bud, I just had to use it as the inspiration for our next color recipe palette.
To go along with this post, I found this time lapse video of three Hyacinth plants coming into bloom! The funniest thing (to me), is that they all look like someone who has had way too much to drink, and then got all tipsy. Have a look…

[wp_ad_camp_1]…Spring Rain is the pale watery blue found in the highlights of the raindrop falling off the end of the Hyacinth bud. Soft Lavender is the wispy soft purple found in the blossom just forming in the background. Blue Hyacinth is the calming blue shade most dominant in the flower. And Deep Indigo is the deep rich blue found in the creases and the low lights of this amazing Spring Flower.

Love this palette, Cindy. It is refreshing for me. Though I love Navy Blue I am also partial to these colors. I see many beautiful items twinkling in the light from these colors. Willow, beautiful picture with your sense of timing perfect. You seem to have the patience of a professional at an early age. Great job. Looks like 2013 is going to be another great year. Thanks to all of the Lietz family.
Love that color palette…live for blues and greens, lol. The slo mo video was great, I could watch that stuff for hours. Had no idea the flower heads moved around so much.
The Dutch iris bulbs I am forcing should bloom with these colors according to the bag. Put one each in a glass votive holder with some sand on the kitchen shelf, and the rest I potted. The potted greenery is already over a foot tall, but no sign of flower buds yet.
Encourage anyone who dreads winter to get some bulbs and force them. It gives you something to look forward to watching them grow, and when they flower you feel wonderful.
Hyacinths are a great forced bulb, especially if you use those wonderful forcing glass containers to put them in. Here’s a link that will take you to google images of the process.
Wouldn’t you know it… just when most everyone here is trying to settle in for Christmas… a technical bug comes up. Arghhh…
It has become apparent that some of you are having difficulty accessing the membership content that you normally should have access to.
If you are seeing an error message that says “Sorry, you are not allowed to view archived content” it is likely because of the bug that is happening on our end.
I’ve got a support ticket submitted to the folks who help with the trouble shooting of these kinds of issues. Hoping to hear back from them soon… but please be patient. With Christmas Day happening tomorrow, it will undoubtedly take a little longer than I would like, to get this problem fixed.
If everyone who is affected could check back to this post for updates, that would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you fixed the problem I blamed my new computer on :) Still alil bit of weirdness trying to get Windows 8 to view the videos but after pressing enough buttons I was able to get back to a 32bit version of Flash (?) to view the videos. Either way all is well and my computer was partly to blame for the problem as one computer would let me go into areas with no problems ,the new computer said no way and would not let me view the videos anyway. Ahh technology cant live without it :)

As typical for this time of the year, Doug and I have been doing some planning for the upcoming year and are very excited about everything we are going to be doing together. We will be upgrading a few things, adding a few new things, getting to know one another better and learning a ton of new things. We have exciting plans for the PcT Roadtrips.
