“Hey, the prize went
to a lady the last time.
I think it should go to one
of the male artists this
time :)” ~Ken-H
Yes it’s that time again… time to announce who won the drawing for the grand prize of all the polymer clay beads shown in the photos further down on this page. This is all part of the exciting wrap up to my 3rd Polymer Clay Tutor Bead Giveaway Contest.
Now I’m sorry to say that in spite of a valiant effort by Elizabeth-S to stack the odds in her favor, it wasn’t quite enough to secure the win.
BUT… Elizabeth’s creative ability to spur on so many fun conversations here at the blog since she became a member, HAS earned her a well deserved consolation prize.
So… to Elizabeth-S… you need to be be watching your mailbox for a little something handmade by me… arriving shortly :-)
Elizabeth, even if you don’t win the beads, I’m naming you winner of the funniest person of the day! Thanks to you and the others for making me smile. I miss these silly conversations. ~Linda-K
Now before I announce today’s grand prize winner, let’s do a quick re-cap.
>> If you do not remember, it was Lupe-M that won the first Bead Giveaway Prize Package.
>> Then Carolyn-F received the honors in Round Two. You can see her prize package at this link: Polymer Clay Beads
>> And now… drum roll please… the winner of the 3rd Polymer Clay Tutor Bead Giveway is Brenda-M!! Congratulations Brenda!!!
I’m not at all surprised that it was one of Brenda’s entry numbers that was drawn. With all the photos she uploaded to Facebook, along with all the postings she did at her own blog, her odds of winning were quite high.
And knowing how prolific Brenda is with her jewelry making projects, I think we can all count on her to put these prize beads to good use. Can’t wait to see what she makes with them.
OK… moving on. I know one question that will undoubtedly come up is, “…will there be a Round 4 Giveaway Contest?”
Well I can say for sure that there will be! I haven’t had time to plan out all the details yet. But one thing I do know, is that it will still involve you guys posting your project pictures on Facebook. So keep them coming!
By the way, when you post your pictures on Facebook, don’t worry so much about linking back to pages here at my blog. I know that some of you found that part of the contest to be a bit confusing.
The most important thing is that everyone is actually applying the lessons you are learning in the weekly video tutorials … and that you are sharing your photos to help inspire others to follow in your creative footsteps. This process of actually doing these things is such a valuable part of your polymer clay learning experience.
One thing I’d like to find out from you guys, is whether or not I should be setting up other photo sharing groups on other sites besides Facebook… like Flickr, Picassa, Photobucket, or ???. Would this help to encourage more of you to share your photos? Please let me know in the comments section below.
PS to Brenda-M and Elizabeth-S: I’ve got mailing addresses on file for both of you. But if you have moved within the last while, please let me know so that I don’t send your prize packages to the wrong place.

OMG!!!!! YAY!!!!! I am doing cartwheels in my kitchen *LOL* There were so many people posting their awesome beautiful pieces over this past months, I really didn’t think I had a chance. HEHEHEHEHEHE…………… I am thrilled to be the WINNER this time! Yippie!!! *Smiling from ear to ear* Guess where I will be every afternoon???? AT THE MAILBOX!
Thank You Cindy & Doug. I believe I started taking your polymer clay lessons back in September of last year. I have learned so much. Thank you for allowing me to be able to afford your tutorials. You two make a perfect team :)
Congrats Brenda!!! You do magnificant work.
Oh Brenda, (sigh)
Were my instructions to credit me with your work NOT CLEAR?
Seriously my friend, if I had a snowball’s chance of completing a cartwheel I would. (My lack of physical agility resulting in deep life long psychological wounding because the other kids never wanted me on their teams, is legendary—–aah, but I digress.)
Brenda, in my opinion there is not a more deserving person to have won this treasure. Your BEAUTIFUL interpretations of what Cindy gives us are so inspiring for this artist wanna-be. My warmest and heartiest congratulations!!
Cindy & Doug,
I humbly and gratefully accept my consolation prize. Like Brenda, I will be at the mailbox every day, excitedly hoping for the arrival of whatever is coming my way. Thank you for my prize and for validating that it is ok to have a little reasonable, respectful nonsense goin’ on once in a while. I’ve missed the banter with my friends here. Again, my thanks.
Hugs,
Elizabeth
@Elizabeth S.: How wonderful is that to be getting something from Cindy!! You are one special lady. XX :)
@Elizabeth S.: ok”ok” I Exaggerated a bit about the cartwheel. I can dream, can’t I? *giggles* The only cartwheel I will be doing is if I trip over something. My old bones won’t let me move like that anymore.
@ Everyone else: Thank you for the kind comments. You all do beautiful work. I too sit back and oooh… and aaaah… over the work that you all do.
I feel blessed to have Cindy and Doug as teachers. I just saw someone else selling a tutorial on making your own texture sheets for a whopping $39.95 which is more than what we pay here, for a full year of weekly video lessons. ** I think I will keep my teacher :)
Congrats Brenda and Elizabeth! You both deserve prizes.
I’m so happy for you Brenda. Your work is beautiful and I always look forward to seeing new post from you. Well deserved. XX
Well, I can’t think of two people who deserve it more. Brenda…you always put your own twist on the tutes and I enjoy seeing what you do with them.
Elzabeth…your work is also a treat to see and you make me laugh!!!!!
Congrats ! You both inspire me ! Your work is so well done. Love to see your postings. Keep up the good work. Hugs all around………:}
Congratulations Brenda!!! You certainly deserve the winnings for this contest. Your work is truly beautiful! You certainly have inspired us and have motivated us during this contest.
Congratulations Elizabeth!! I am so glad there was a consolation prize because you indeed deserve recognition for your beautiful creations and for just being YOU! You truly have a wonderful heart! Love your funny comments too!
So happy for you two! Enjoy your gifts and treasure them as I have mine! HUGS to the both of you!
Thanks to our great tutor, Cindy…and can’t forget you Doug…many thanks!
Brenda – your work is always a joy to look at, congratulations!
Elizabeth – enjoyed our goofy discussions last week :) It was fun!
YEA BRENDA!!!!!!!!!!! YEA ELIZABETH, you never know what can happen unless you try. :)
OK LADIES, the gauntlet has been thrown down to the male artists, come on guys the ladies are 3 for 3, we’re outnumbered and we’ve got to step it up for when round four begins, and ladies I’m sharpening my claws now in preparation (if you read the thread in which Elizabeth “TRIED” to get us to sign over our entries you’ll know what I’m talking about). :)
congrats to the winners!
Congratulations from Alberta! Well deserved both ways round!
Congratulations Brenda; you so deserve to win. Your work is so inspiring and fabulous. Can’t wait to see how you put those beads to use.
@ Elizabeth- I’m so happy Cindy has something for you too. Your work is wonderful too but more importantly you are such a warm, caring, funny person.
@ Cindy & Doug – Thank you again for the wonderful tutorials and photography, the support and encouragement and like Brenda says for keeping the tutoriasl affordable.
Congratulations!! It is no surprise to me you both won! You are both the best!!
@Cindy. I would be interested in another site. I can’t upload photos to your FB page. I can upload to mine and More Than Clay but not yours. Go Figure!
Well, gotta run, I still have to try the feather cane technique!
Enjoy your prize Brenda!!…you are so dedicated at creating your own twist on so many lessons – you really earned this one!! Thanks for inspiring us with your lovely pieces too.
Elizabeth you are way too hard on yourself with the “artist wanna-be” comment?? Your work is beautiful, a lot of us have spent a lot of time admiring your work :) Not to mention the always welcome laugh therapy!! Congrats!
What a great place, all kinds of creativity here…especially now, as Ken conjures up his master plan for the next beautiful bead bundle! ;0)
@Brenda and Elizabeth: Congratulations! :)
@Cindy: I have too many philosophical and conceptual issues with Facebook and its approach to members’ data for me to ever join it, so I certainly won’t be posting any photos there. I probably would if it was on some other site (as long as that site didn’t get my hackles up for similar reasons! ;D), although it would depend on the site and how things were organised.
Congratulations Brenda! You worked so hard, and created amazing pieces using Cindy’s tutes (and made them your own;) I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this prize! You go, girl!
There were fantastic entries by everyone, of course (the Facebook Gallery is filled with amazing, inspirational eye candy.) But you, my dear — YOU really went all out, coming up with some of the coolest pieces ever! Not only were you prolific & insanely creative, you also linked back to Cindy’s blog from your own, getting the word out about Cindy’s fantastic site. I’m so happy you are the winner! Hurray, Brenda!!!
_______________
Yay, Elizabeth! I’m thrilled about your giftie from Cindy…you SO deserve it! Your commitment to keeping us entertained here is unmatched, and you do it so well. Besides the comedy routines, you’re an absolute sweetheart, taking the time to spread your kindness all around…
I’m so excited for you (and sure–envious!) I mean, c’mon…something made by Cindy?! :D I’d be waiting by the mailbox, wanting to see/feel my tutor’s creation…but actually, you’ve already had the pleasure, right? (I think you bought one of her gallery items?) So you know the kind of fantastic work to expect, don’tcha? ;D All the more reason to wait by the mailbox! Could we beg you to share your prize when you get it? Maybe a photo on your blog or Facebook…please? Anyway, I’m so very happy for you, sweet lady!!!
_______________
@Sue F: I’m ecstatic to hear you’re willing to share photos of your work! After all of the amazing advice & tips you’ve given since I discovered this blog, I’m dying for a glimpse of your creations. I’d love to see what comes out of that lovely, well-organized studio, too (the one I drool over!) What photo-sharing sites meet your standards? Maybe if you give Cindy some “approved sites” ideas it will help her – she says she’s open to suggestions… ;D
I’m hoping whatever site gets chosen, that it works for Catalina this time. It’s not fair she got “left out” of the FB Gallery – that darn iPad issue (or ?) Whatever photo-share sites you choose…please do tell!
@Phaedrakat: It’s not an iPad issue. I can’t upload from my Mac Mini, iBook, eMac, my husband’s PC Notebook, his laptop and his main desktop! I tried them all! I haven’t tried for a while now so I guess I should try again. I guess FB hates me. But, I enjoy seeing everyone’s work. Some piece really blow my mind. Such talent here!!
Congrats again girls and now that I have confirmed both of your addresses and will send out the prize packages later today. So keep your eyes peeled for the mailman!
@Catalina, Sue and others: Doug and I will be evaluating a few other photo sharing sites to include as options in addition to the existing Facebook Gallery… but any site specific preferences you guys can suggest, would be helpful for us to know about. The last thing we want to do is spend the time to set something up that no one will end up using.
@Phaedrakat: It’s very kind of you to say that. :)
I’ve actually never investigated the various photo sharing sites as they haven’t been of interest to me except as a viewer. From that perspective I guess I’ve used Flickr more than the others, and while it’s quite good I would prefer a few things to be different so I wouldn’t pick it over any other site without checking them all out properly.
Finding the time to do that is a whole ‘nother question, however, particularly at this time of the year!
Brenda: You are a true winner for all of us admirerers (sp?) of your work, and I for one am inspired by your wonderful and encouraging words on my work. I can only hope to be half as good some day.
Elizabeth: March on, and don’t worry about the men next time, they are WAY out numbered from what I see. Congrats on your consulation prize.
OOOOOoooooo, a challenge, I LOVE a challenge, hehehehehee!
@Ken H: Well just don’t file those claws down TOOO far, or they won’t be helpful at all ;o)
Congratulationto Brenda and Elizabeth…very good news! I would be very interested in another photo sharing group (Facebook is just not for me!) so I will keep a look out for future news about this possibility.
Congrats you two!!! You are both extreemly deserving…
Peace, Love, & Clay,
~Lisa :)
Congratulations to both of you. Very deserving.
Don’t see my comment here so I must have pushed the wrong button. So now I’ll just say “Ditto” to all the compliments to you Brenda, you really are an inspiration and Elizabeth S., you too are an inspiration. Your fun-loving spirit is the BEST! Congratulations to both of you. And Cindy, our teacher, one of a kind, two prizes instead of one. What more could be said. Thanks to all of you.
I am touched by your kind words. Thanks to all of you who posted them.
Hugs,
Elizabeth
Woo Hoo Brenda!!!! Congrats on the fabulous prize!!! You totally deserve it!!!
Congratulations, Brenda. I’m not at all surprised that you’re the winner. Not only is your work spectacular, but your photos are top-notch.
And congratulations to you, too, Elizabeth. See…I knew you were a winner, too!
Congrats, Brenda and Elizabeth! You give us something to aspire to in our own creations!
I have pics on flickr but forget to upload new ones. Bad on me.
YAY! Again…. I recieved my package today. All I can saw is “WOWSERS” The beads are Beautiful! I cannot get over how smooth they are. The lentil bead is fabuloso! I just adore the rose sooooo….. cute, I like how you did the wiring on it. It looks like something I would have done. “My favorite ” Oh wait! I have no fav. I love them all! First thing I am going to do is make me some earrings out of the hearts ;) Merry christmas to me early! *Smiling from ear to ear* Thanks a bunch Cindy & Doug.
@Brenda: I know I said this at your blog already, but wanted to say it here too. I am very pleased that you love the beads you received in the recent giveaway prize package. You deserved to win them very much. You try every technique and put your own spin on them. You are so very productive and are a true inspiration. A teachers dream come true. Have fun with them! Can’t wait to see the pics, since you always have cool ideas. I bet Elizabeth can hardly wait for her prize now that yours has arrived. I sent the packages at the same time so hers should be there soon.
@Cindy Lietz from Member Projects – Dangle Bangles: Ah’ Your are too sweet Cindy :) You remind me so much of my middle school teacher. I learned tons of things from her such as carving stamps & printing, macrome, potters wheel, decoupage, water color panting, sketching, how one side of the brain is our artistic side. so forth. She was awesome. What is sad is that everyday Life gets in the way of that creativity and you forget what you had learned. Being a member of your site has brought back many joyful memories. I thank you for that *hugs*
Three words: “Hip, hip, hurray!”
Post some pics with your treasures. Especially when you have made something with them!! Congratulations again!!!!!
It sounds like Brenda is just a little bit excited! : ) Congratulations !!! Looking forward to seeing what you’ll do with all of these treasures.

Good to hear from you Brenda. I went to your site but your “Winning Heart Earrings” photos are not showing. I’ll check back again later… can’t wait to see them :-)
