@Natalie H: I am fairly certain that the Super Sculpey in the big box is the same product as the White Sculpey III. Here is what I read on Polyform's Facebook page:

Mel Held: What's the difference between the White Sculpey 1 lb sold at Walmart and the White Sculpey III clay sold at dickblick/Joanns/Michaels? Thanks in advance. January 21 at 4:32pm

Polyform Products: They are the same product, different packaging.

Hopefully that helps Natalie! ~ Cindy

Can Super Sculpy (1.75lb) be used the same way the 2oz Sculpey III is used? I am thinking of. Using the white version in my blending. Of colors in my bead creations.

@cherie: As far as I know, Carrie sent Sculpey III recipes the two times only. Today's post, featuring Sue Fisher's Kato version of the Blue Hosta Palette, has an Index to all of the Guest Recipes. It's at the end of the article, and has links to both sets of Carrie's Sculpey III recipes (17 colors total) and the 3 Kato palettes Sue F. has converted (12 colors.) It's so generous of these women to share their recipes/recipe conversions with us. Thanks so much, to both of you!

Thanks everyone!
@ Jamie- I am the same way, I always reach for my Sculpey III. Although now that I have Cindy's color recipes I am using a lot more Premo.

@ Cindy- You have called some beads "money beads". I found my money bead this weekend. I sold at a festival and made $160 in 2 days! My smooth faux raku bracelets flew off my table! I made different shapes and sizes of beads and my best seller by far was bracelets with the faux raku technique on small ( a little smaller than a pea) round beads. I also made larger round, and two size cube beads and paired them with silver spacers.

If anyone is interested in pics, let me know and I will send one to Cindy!

Thanks everyone for the great comments and love you have sent Carrie... I know she appreciates it!

@Dora: You don't need to do a full Skinner blend to mix colors. Just mush all the parts together and run through the pasta machine. Fold in half and run through the pasta machine (fold first), again and again until the colors are mixed. You can do it by hand instead if you want. Just squish and knead the colors together to mix. The pasta machine is faster though.

If you are completely new to polymer clay, I suggest you get the Polymer Clay Bead Making for Beginners Course. There are 39 videos that will help you learn all the things you need to know about working with the clay, so you can avoid making a lot of common mistakes. Click the link by my name for more info.
