&lt;p&gt;You heard me right! Play with your clay! Just fool around with it for an hour or two with no particular project in mind.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Roll it. Squish it. Stamp it. Mix it. Dye it. Make little snakes with it. Put stuff in it. Shape it. Re-shape it. And repeat. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During this &#039;play&#039; time, new ideas will spring into your mind and a you won&#039;t be feeling the pressure of getting it right. Then the next time you sit down to make something nice, it will just flow out of you... Give it a try, it works!  &lt;/p&gt;
